Chivas Alchemy

Savile Row Bespoke Association (SRBA) members Dege & Skinner and Henry Poole & Co are flying the flag for our world-famous street at the Chivas Alchemy evenings in India.

The high-end fashion and luxury goods symposiums got under way in Delhi on 18th February and will continue at the Taj Lands End hotel in Mumbai on 25th March.

Curated by a host of experts in the fields of fashion, fragrance and décor, the concept of the Chivas Alchemy is based around the five senses of hearing, touch, smell, sight and sound. Dege & Skinner and Henry Poole exhibited their work – including the first-ever tuxedo, which was made by Poole’s for the Price of Wales in 1868 and Dege’s embroidered shewani– in the Tales of Handcrafted Luxe room, which was curated by fashion and luxury writer Vinod Nair (pictured).

"I'm working with the sense of hearing ,” said Nair. “With these luxury garments it was important to tell the stories that relate to the history and heritage of these iconic brands”
