Making The Cut

Making the Cut, the fine second book by Richard Anderson was published yesterday.

Richard refers to the book as a ‘sartorial kaleidoscope’ and it comprises a wealth of on-the-Row know-how and insight.

Savile Row has long been a byword for heritage and time-honed quality, but in Making the Cut Richard also looks at how, in the 21st century, its tailors are embracing unusual fabrics, new colours and modern tastes to update long-held traditions and reach an ever-growing international client base. The book also features an introduction by long-time Savile Row supporter Dylan Jones, the editor of British GQ.

Richard started his career on Savile Row with Savile Row Bespoke Association (SRBA) member Huntsman as an apprentice at 17 years of age and is now well known as one of its modern master cutters. He founded Richard Anderson Ltd, itself a member of the SRBA, with his business partner Brian Lishak at 13 Savile Row in 2001.

Making the Cut is published by Thames & Hudson.
