Savile Row On Show

John Kerry (pictured, top, with William Smith and Simon Cundey of Henry Poole) was one of a healthy number of visitors to the pop-up showroom Savile Row set up for last week's London Craft Week.

The former United States Secretary of State and Senator for Massachusetts attended the pattern cutting and coat making demonstration given by Savile Row Bespoke Association (SRBA) member Henry Poole. The other SRBA members that gave visitors a special insight into their craft at the showroom were Dege & Skinner and Gieves & Hawkes. The cloth merchants and SRBA associate members Huddersfield Fine Worsteds and Dugdale Bros also played an indispensable in the proceedings.

SRBA Director Su Thomas commented: "Great to be part of a successful London Craft Week, which demonstrated how Savile Row is a central part of London's craft industry.  The tailoring and textile companies provided a real insight into the skills of our young talented tailors and cutters."
