The Service

Post-lockdown life on an ever-busier Savile Row continues apace with the opening of The Service, a neat new coffee bar and exhibition space at no. 32.

The timely inaugural exhibition, Savile Row Bespoke: Tailored Casual, showcases the Row as a multifaceted destination for those in search of exceptional tailoring that is smart yet relaxed, and features a number of Savile Row Bespoke Association (SRBA) members, including Cad & The Dandy, Davies & Sons, Dege & Skinner, Henry Poole, Huntsman and Norton & Sons.

The exhibition’s curator Aleks Cvetkovic commented: ‘In a year that has turned our daily lives, working patterns and dress codes on their heads, the question of what it means to be ‘well dressed’ today has dominated the press and challenged all quarters of the fashion industry. Of course, Savile Row has an extraordinary reputation for timeless formalwear, but the Row’s bespoke tailors offer much more than business suits and occasion wear alone. I believe that Savile Row makes some of the most elegant ‘tailored casualwear’ in the world.’

An initiative of James Sleater of Cad & The Dandy and Row landlords The Pollen Estate, The Service offers Savile Row clients and workers alike an elegant space in which to meet and discover more about the storied history and unique working practices of our famous street.
