The Dormeuil name is synonymous with timeless British elegance. Dormeuil fabrics have a unique handle and an incomparable "drape", with distinctive patterns of subtle characteristics.

The House was founded in 1842 by Jules Dormeuil, who had the vision of importing English fabrics and presenting his collection to French tailors. Dormeuil quickly became a design house creating its own range of fabrics, expanding its reputation worldwide. Dormeuil in the 1920's, was the first brand to personalise the selvedge of every piece, thus creating the "World's Best Cloths". In the sixties, Dormeuil was also the first brand with its own advertising campaigns. The House of Dormeuil has remained a family business for six generations.

Our celebrated creations are well known to master tailors and elegant gentlemen: Sportex® was launched in 1922, Tonik® in 1957 - both still available today, Guanashina® in 2005, a composition of pashmina, guanaco & cashmere and Vanquish® in 2006, the rare combination of pashmina and vicuna.

The brand, Dormeuil, fits comfortably into the world of contemporary luxury, pioneering innovative fabrics using the finest and rarest fibres from the world's best sources: New Zealand merino wool, silk from India and China, cashmere from Mongolia, vicuna from the Andes..... such creations have led Dormeuil to successfully and exclusively weave one of the finest and softest fibres in existence, Pashmina®, which is used for the most delicate stoles.

These exceptional fabrics are developed by the House's design office and manufactured, mostly in England, using traditional methods in harmony with the very best of modern technology.

Hand & Lock is an embroidery company that is a fusion of two, great, long established, embroidery businesses.In 2001 these two, extraordinary companies; S. Lock and M. Hand, merged to form Hand & Lock. And more recently in 2003, joined with MBA Costumes bringing all the elements of military, fashion and couture, and entertainment together under one roof. The Hand & Lock brand was thus created.

Fox Brothers & Co Ltd
Since 1772

Manufacturers of the Worlds finest wool and worsted cloth since 1772 and have supplied a comprehensive range of wool and worsted cloth to Savile Row since then. Fox Brothers are credited as the original creators of flannel, a skill they have continued to develop culminating in receiving the Queen's Award to Industry as manufacturers of the Worlds lightest weight wool and cashmere flannel in 2006.

Their collection includes suitings from 180grm to 500grm, jacketings in wool and 100% cashmere and overcoatings at weights to 1000grms. Fox brothers has an extensive archive dating back to their first year of trading, which is used to support its classic collection and provide clients with inspiration from the past.
