London Craft Week

Savile Row's contribution to London Craft Week gets under way today with the opening of a pop-up showroom at numbers 34 and 35 of our celebrated street.

Today sees Savile Row Bespoke Association (SRBA) member and Row stalwart Henry Poole demonstrate the craft behind evening wear which, having conceived the dinner jacket in 1865, they are very well qualified to do. A cutter will be on hand to talk attendees through the art of pattern cutting and coat-makers will give an insight into the traditional methods used to make a jacket.

Fellow SRBA members Dege & Skinner and Gieves & Hawkes will also be demonstrating the art of Savile Row tailoring, with Dege revealing the secrets of the best bespoke shirt making and uniform making and Gieves' head cutter Davide Taube giving a cutting masterclass.

Also playing an indispensable part in the proceedings will be the cloth merchants Huddersfield Fine Worsteds and Dugdale Bros, both associate members of the SRBA.

See the London Craft Week website for full details of tickets and times.
