Assessment Time

The future of Savile Row was put under the microscope on Friday 14th June when the work of this year’s Savile Row Bespoke Association (SRBA) apprentices was assessed.

Congratulations from everyone at the SRBA goes to the following, who each passed with flying colours:

Iona Knight and Christian Greenwood – Dege & Skinner

Keiichi Inakura – Gieves & Hawkes

Katarzyna Zlotorzynska – Huntsman

Tara Louise Hansen – Kathryn Sargent

Abigail Robertson – Henry Poole & Co

The assessments took place at Henry Poole & Co and were undertaken by tailors and cutters from four separate companies - Philip Parker, Tristan Thorne, Gordon Alsleben, William Smith and the SRBA Director Su Thomas. SRBA Chairman William Skinner was also present to congratulate the trainees, who will be presented with their diplomas at the Bespoke Tailors’ Benevolent Association Summer Party at the Merchant Taylors Hall on July 5th.

Protecting the future of Savile Row and the incredible bespoke tailoring that is produced on it is the most important part of the work of the SRBA, and this year’s successful apprentices bring the total number of diplomas that have now been awarded to eighty-two.
