The Best Women’s Bespoke Tailoring

Savile Row is much more than a bastion of men’s style…

As featured in the Financial Times’ How To Spend It magazine, our famous street has seen a significant increase in bespoke tailoring for women in recent years. And very much at the head of that movement is Savile Row Bespoke Association (SRBA) member Kathryn Sargent (pictured), who became the Row’s first female master tailor in 2016. A little over a third of the pieces Kathryn now makes are for women. And, in keeping with the general, more relaxed trend against standard two-piece suits, many of those pieces are mix-and-match separates.

Other SRBA members who report an increased female following include Huntsman (which has seen a 35% growth in women customers since 2019), Cad & The Dandy and Edward Sexton, who, famously, has made bespoke suits for Bianca Jagger and Twiggy.
