As part of the ‘Savile Row and America, a Sartorial Special Relationship’ exhibition taking place in Washington D.C. May 13 and 14, 2015, four leading Savile Row Houses, Dege & Skinner, Gieves & Hawkes, Henry Poole, and Huntsman, will reveal their unique, modern interpretations of the driving jacket.
The jackets were commissioned by Bentley Motors, in acknowledgement of the heritage and artistry that both Bentley and Savile Row represent. Since 1919, Bentley Motors has created some of the finest automobiles on the road.
Finished at the hand of expert craftspeople, these cars, as with Savile Row tailoring, have attracted sophisticated collectors from around the world for generations. In bringing Bentley and Savile Row together, the capsule collection will showcase the best of British luxury, performance, and craftsmanship today, and the rich heritage, storied history, spirit and persona of patrons past and present.
