The leading cloth producers Fox Brothers and Dormeuil demonstrated the crucial part they play in maintaining Savile Row as the world centre of tailoring excellence by donating 300 metres of extremely valuable luxury cloth to tailoring students at Newham College. The producers, both associate members of the Savile Row Bespoke Association, presented the cloth to students at a special event

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Tuxedo talented London College of Fashion BA (Hons) Bespoke Tailoring students teamed up with internationally renowned Savile Row tailor Henry Poole & Co and luxury fabric supplier Dormeuil to re-invent the Tuxedo for the 21st century. This extraordinary project – which had support from the Tuxedo Historical Society in Tuxedo Park, New York,

The historic link between the City of London’s Livery Companies was further rekindled in 2010, when the Chairman of the SRB Technical Committee presented Certificates to 15 Apprentices on the successful conclusion of their three or five-year courses. In 2011, a further 7 Apprentices were honoured at Merchant Taylors’ Hall, the trade’s spiritual home, during the Master Tailors’ Benevolent Association
